PLA is a compostable polymere that comes from renewable carbon-absorbing plants. It is used for clear cold cups, cup linings and containers. This sustainable alternative to petroleum-based plastic is commercially compostable where facilities exist. In other cases, used packaging should be placed in general waste. Lids are sold separately.
